MARTIN FOLAN
5th Degree black belt began training in Western boxing at nine years of age, and went on to train in various martial arts including Shotokan Karate, Judo, Juditsu, Taekwondo, Kickboxing and Thai Boxing.
In 2004, Martin's own system of Kickboxing Budo Ryu was officially recognized by a number of international organizations, including Goshin Ryu International, the ISSH (International Society of Headfounders & Head-families), and the CMAA (Cobra Martial Arts Association). This system includes the strikes of Thai Boxing in its training and grading syllabus.
Martin has been involved in the martial arts for over twenty years, and has successfully been running his own training clubs for the last twelve years. He regularly teaches at seminars and courses for all systems of martial arts, and - having previously been a competitor himself - has trained champions in various fighting systems.
